I started At Work and On the Go as a way to share my experiences and insights on life as a 20-something-year-old. I got pretty sick of social media and the practice of perfectly crafting a set of images and a caption to get likes and comments from people I barely know. AW&OTG allows me to share my life unfiltered on an alternate platform.
As much as I created AW&OTG for myself, I had the idea that other people, especially other 20-something-year-old women, would have an interest in it too. I learned pretty quickly in college that life doesn't revolve around the "ideas" of college. By creating At Work and On the Go, I hope to encourage others to find a new perspective on everyday life (including the nitty gritty), a life outside of social media, and a life beyond the tailgates, parties, all-nighters in the library, and adolescent drama.
